Occupational medicine is focused on the treatment on the work-related injuries and illnesses. Physicians trained in occupational medicine diagnose and treat work-related injuries much more effectively than most primary care physicians. Whether they need a flu shot, school or job specific vaccination, travels shots like yellow fever, vaccinations required as part of the immigration exam process, or other immunizations, we have you covered.

Employee physicals are designed to keep workers safe and healthy on the job. Many jobs require employers to ensure their employees are compliant with exams to improve workforce safety. Some of these, like commercial truck driving, are regulated by government agencies to protect both the driver and the public. To provide employers with the most current exam standards, we work with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and National Institute for Occupational Safety (NIOSH).

We provide employers with many types of employee physicals, making it easy for businesses to stay compliant with state and national regulations. These include the Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals, Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) physicals, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) physicals.

We also offer general wellness exams and job safety physicals to keep your employees safer, healthier, and more productive at work and home. We provide a wide variety of physicals, including:

Federal law requires drivers of commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) to receive regular physical examinations under the Department of Transportation. DOT physicals are highly regulated for the drivers’ safety and are designed to detect physical, mental, and emotional issues that can affect a driver’s ability to safely drive a commercial vehicle. Our DOT medical examiners are specially trained to understand the regulations and prevent drivers from being inappropriately disqualified.

Employers cannot have drivers out on the road without a valid DOT card. That means that you can’t legally do business unless your CMV driver is cleared for the road. Because of this, DOT physicals are a must-have if you’re a commercial driver or employ commercial drivers. They help ensure your drivers will be safe on the road, and compliant with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).

We also provide several DOT-related services to keep employers and their drivers safe and compliant. This includes:

  • DOT Drug Testing: DOT drug screenings test for the presence of illegal drugs, alcohol, and other substances, helping to create a safer work environment.
  • Sleep Evaluation Program: objectively and consistently evaluates drivers who are at a risk of a collision due to excessive sleepiness.
  • Drug Consortium Services: Anyone designated in DOT regulations as a “safety-sensitive” employee is subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing. A safety-sensitive employee is someone who holds a job that can impact both their own safety and the safety of the public, including employees in the Federal Aviation Administration, the U.S. Coast Guard, and the Federal Railroad Administration.
